Rain drops fall again,
splattering against the window,
raking up memories of those rain filled moments,
those outstretched hands,
capturing the drops,
Those drenched clothes, those wet eyelids,
those soggy shoes, the muddy earth.
Those merging puddles.
The sound of rain
splashing gently on the ground,
dripping gently from the roofs,
trickling smoothly in rivulets,
on the window screens
brings to life the same essence
always remembered but only to be forgotten
re-awakened when rain falls.
Bringing succor to parched life,
bringing new life to the old.
wiping the grime and the dust away,
wiping the sorrows away.
how wonderful you feel tonight,
against the skin,
your droplets so fragile, so delicate
and yet so silky
HOw to capture you in hands forever,
freezing that shape and texture.
remains a dream.
